Fixing the Walls and Side Door
A lean-to with a corrugated roof, used as a laundry, was later built directly across the stained glass window, leaving a noticeable impact. The window bears the marks of time, showing how the structure affected its integrity and beauty. Removal now shows the original features with the unusual turret on the roof.

Installing the Lift
Installing the Thyssenkrupp, German-engineered lift at The Convent at Koroit was a massive feat as the ceilings were extremely high with little space to work. The lift had to be installed in a discreet way - designed to preserve the building's historic glory.
With The Convent's exceptionally high ceilings, the lift required special considerations, including excavation of a pit at its base. This careful and precise installation now allows all visitors to access the glorious upstairs Nun's Chapel, making this historic space accessible to everyone while maintaining the integrity and beauty of the building.
Justin Jervies - Awesome Electrician
Justin from Southern Cross is our expert electrician who has provided us with exceptional work and professionalism. He has had many electrical challenges - including crawling under the floor boards, going from room to room, to install new cables, conduct repairs, and do maintenance.
Working with us for two years, Justin has proven to be a top-tier electrician capable of doing complex circuits.
Process Fabrication Services - a Koroit-based firm - provided expert steelwork at The Convent, reinforcing the lift structure while maintaining its historic integrity. They also provided all the steelwork in the kitchen.
Their precise metalwork ensured both strength and design, seamlessly integrating with the building’s architecture and enhancing its overall durability. Image shows Wayne and Andrew, but John and Nathan didn’t have time to stand around and get their picture taken. Job needed to get done!

We were fortunate that Carpet Court, the shop in Warrnambool, were able to help us on several occasions.
They are a very expert group and all the 'Tradies' we have had from this company have been very helpful.
When the steam tap was left on in the bathroom, enormous damage was done and Carpet Court came to our rescue matching new capet with old.
